Education
The Association recognises the achievement of qualifications that ensure that our operating standards can be met. The standard of education of Scotland's Golf Course Architects is key to us achieving our objectives.
The Association currently recognises the qualifications of:
AND
- Masters degree in Golf Course Architecture from the Edinburgh College of Art (ECA)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Golf Course Architecture operated by the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA).
The Association will offer support to the ECA and EIGCA in providing lecturers, documents and other relevant information to assist with the education of student Golf Course Architects.
Newly qualified members of The Association will be provided with access to project work to assist with their continuing education process.
It is intended that The Association will utilise the expertise of its members to create a library of information on Golf Course Architecture to assist with the continuing development of its members and prospective members.
The education program will also consist of field trips to assist with continuing development.
