Hesketh Golf Club

KimberGlen have had an association with Hesketh Golf Club since 2010 and they have assisted them with a number of upgrades to their course.  Most recently they returned to carry out extensive work to the 17th hole to alleviate safety issues with an adjacent property boundary.

The work required moving the centre of the fairway by approximately 30 yards further away from the boundary changing the aiming point for the tee shot and creating a new dune system for the fairway to sit within making the hole feel authentic and believable.  The constrution work was carried out using our in house team and the returfing was done by the club's greenkeeping team.

In total over 4,000m3 of sand was moved and reshaped during a 10 day construction period and the job was completed within 3 weeks. Hesketh Golf Club will be co-hosting the prestigious English Amateur Championship in 2018 and so it was crucial to lay the turf and allow the hydroseeded dune slopes to germinate prior to winter to ensure that it will be ready by summer 2018.
